This programme follows the registered QCTO curriculum for the Occupational Certificate: Commercial Cleaner (SAQA ID 118709, curriculum 811201-000-00-00, NQF Level 1, 120 credits). The QCTO Occupational Certificate itself is issued by the QCTO after you pass the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA), arranged through the Services SETA at an accredited assessment centre. GoalVow gives you the training, the evidence you need to qualify for that assessment, and a GoalVow certificate once you pass all three parts here.
Those four are part-qualifications, each covering one area. This programme is the full Commercial Cleaner qualification. It includes all of their modules plus health and safety (KM-02), the commercial cleaning environment (KM-03) and storeroom management (PM-05 and WM-05). If you already completed a part-qualification, RPL can credit the modules you hold.
Part 1 is knowledge (39 credits): eight knowledge modules from the world of work to every cleaning area. Part 2 is practical skills (35 credits): seven practical modules. Part 3 is work experience (46 credits): seven work experience modules in a real workplace, signed off by a supervisor. Each part ends with a final test and a VR final test, and you must pass all three parts to earn your certificate.
The curriculum asks for each work experience in WM-02 (above-floor surfaces) to be done at least three times within five weeks, and each work experience in the other six work experience modules at least five times within five weeks, always both under supervision and independently. Your GoalVow logbook counts this for you.
The QCTO curriculum asks for a supervisor with a cleaning and hygiene qualification (Commercial Cleaner or equivalent) and at least three years of industry experience. Your supervisor receives a secure link from GoalVow to verify each logbook entry and sign your Statement of Work Experience.
